Description

Responsibilities:

FOD reports directly to Accountable Manager
FOD is responsible for the overall supervision of flight operations

· The employment of crew members, according to the current regulations and HCAA requirements (as applicable)

· Ensuring the upkeep of adequate professional standards of crew members

· Producing, updating and distributing the technical and operational documentation, related to flight operations and the drawing up of the other operational documents as required by the current regulations

· Ensuring that the company communication system is able and ensures an exchange of operationally relevant information throughout the management system for crew operations and among operational personnel.

· Ensuring that the information and documentation used for the preparation and execution of a flight and the Captain’s flight reports are stored and accessible to the Aviation Authority for the prescribed periods of time

· Ensuring that the Operations Manual is amended or revised so that the instructions and information contained therein are kept up to date and that all flying and operations personnel are made aware of such changes that are relevant to their duties

· In coordination (directly or through deputy) with the Training Department with respect to fleet configuration issues including the following:

· Line operations policies, rules instructions and procedures

· Adequacy of Flight crew training

· Technical operations material (i.e. performance, navigation, fleet configuration, installed equipment etc.)

· All checks performed by the Company, like Entry Checks, Operator Proficiency Checks (OPC) and Line Checks (LC)

· Type Rating Examiner (TRE) and Check Cabin Crewmembers tasking for operational & recurrent checks

Requirements:

1-Practical experience in Aviation Safety Standards
2- EU & ICAO legislation/ regulations knowledge
3-Familiarity with Aviation Management system
4-Holding the Type Rating to a type of operation conducted under the AOC ( As alternative solution deputy must
holding the specific type rating)
5-Five ( 5 ) years of relevant work experience of which at least two (2 ) years should be from the Aviation Industry in
an appropriate position.
6-Significant flight time experience as a Commander of a multi crew air transport aircraft for Commercial Air Transport
( CAT )
